WHAT DO YOU SHOOT?
Everyone from regular people to experienced models, anyone interested in being part of my creative work! LGTBQIA & KINK friendly events, as well as commercial work such as products, etc.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
My solo sessions begin at $333, while couples sessions start at $666. Event photography coverage starts at $666, and commercial rates start at $1,500.
Please note, all prices on my website are before taxes.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes!
Once your deposit payment is received, the total amount due will be broken down into equal weekly/monthly installments, with the final installment due between 30 to 60 days after your photoshoot.
HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
You can reach out and book a session by getting in touch with me via the contact page on my website. To confirm your session, a non-refundable retainer is required.
The remaining balance will be due on or before the day of your session via an online invoice, unless we’ve arranged a payment plan for amounts over $400 in advance.
HOW LONG WILL MY SESSION TAKE?
The length of your session depends on the package you choose, ranging from 30 minutes to 8 hours. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel to the location and extra time for hair and makeup, if that’s part of your plan. I’ll reach out to you before the session to go over details like the location, your goals for the day, and how we can co-create your final images.
DO YOU TAKE DEPOSITS?
Yes I do.
I require a non-refundable retainer.
DO YOU PROVIDE THE RAW / UNEDITED FILES?
I don’t provide raw or unedited images from sessions.
The final images I present to you are carefully selected based on my artistic vision, and those are the only ones available.
I understand that this might not be what everyone’s looking for, so if it doesn’t feel like the right fit for you, I totally understand and encourage you to check out other professionals who may be a better match for your needs.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
For our shoot, it’s great to bring a mix of clothing and accessories so we can mix and match different looks. But at the very least, make sure you have two outfits you feel AMAZING in! I also have a selection of lingerie and props that you can use during the session to switch things up.
The more options you bring, the better, so we can create a variety of looks!
If you’re doing family portraits, boudoir, or glamour sessions, I’ve put together Pinterest boards with some fun wardrobe inspiration tailored just for your shoot.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE PHOTOS BACK?
After your session, I’ll spend a lot of time working on your images, carefully selecting the best ones. You won’t have to worry about proof galleries—just the final, beautifully finished photos will be sent straight to your email.
This usually takes up to 6 weeks, but if you need them sooner, we can chat about a rush service for an additional $300 before taxes.
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO OR LOCATION TO SHOOT?
All of my studio sessions happen in the comfort and privacy of my home studio in Queens, NY.
If you’re looking for something different or want a unique vibe, we can talk about other options like an AirBnb, Peerspace, or any local studio you have in mind.
If you prefer a different studio, no problem at all! Just keep in mind that the studio fee will be your responsibility, and there might be a travel fee depending on the location.
DO I HAVE TO SHARE THE IMAGES ONLINE?
If you’d like to share your photos, go for it! It’s not a must, but to make sure I respect your wishes, I ask all clients to sign an image release form. This lets you decide what I post and where it gets shared—whether that’s a lot of photos, or none at all.
I totally get that some people prefer to keep their images private, like teachers, politicians, and other professionals. No problem! Just communicate this with me when booking your session. I’m happy to keep them under wraps or even make sure you’re fully anonymous if that’s what you prefer.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME TO OUR SHOOT?
Of course!
If you bring a companion, just keep in mind they should be non-intrusive while we’re shooting. I give a lot of direction during the session, so any extra chatter can make it harder for me to guide the shoot.
If they’re not able to follow that, I’ll kindly ask them to step outside.
DO YOU USE PHOTOSHOP TO EDIT OUT "FLAWS"?
When I edit your images, I won’t change your body shape or size—that’s not something I believe in.
My goal is to create an unique and natural representation of you. I’ll smooth out skin, remove blemishes or bruises, and address temporary imperfections, but I’ll leave things like stretch marks or scars up to you if you’d like to alter them.
I want you to be thrilled with the final result and to see it as a true, reflection of your unique beauty.
DO YOU EDIT ALL OF YOUR WORK?
Yes, I retouch all of my own photography work, video clips and behind the scenes content.
DO YOU SHOOT ALL BODIES?
My goal is to create a fun and inclusive experience for everyone, no matter their background, identity, or body type.
I want you to leave your session feeling empowered and excited about the photos we’ve captured. I’ll guide you through every pose and movement to make sure your images look their best.
My mission is for you to walk away feeling more confident and proud of your own unique beauty.
WHAT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?
I mostly use my Nikon for shoots, but sometimes my iPhone or other digital and film cameras make an appearance for some creative variety or behind-the-scenes shots.
HOW ARE THE IMAGES DELIVERED?
Your photos will be delivered through a secure online gallery with a password, where you can easily view, choose your favorites, share them, buy extra digital images, order prints in different sizes, and safely download everything.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ONLY WOMEN?
Absolutely not! I'm here for all people of all gender identities, whether male, female, gender queer, non-binary, etc. Couples, individuals, everyone is welcome!
My gender queer photography sessions are a great way to express your authentic self and explore the full range of gender possibilities.
From creative posing to playing around with expressions, I'm here to help you capture the beautiful essence of your gender.
WHAT PROPS SHOULD I BRING?
Anything that makes you feel confident and powerful is fair game for a photoshoot.
I’ve had clients bring in all sorts of things like guitars, whips, costumes, snakes, and even a motorcycle—all of which helped them feel amazing.
That said, for everyone’s safety, I don’t allow weapons like guns in the shoot.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH COUPLES?
Yes, absolutely!
I’m also open to photographing polyamorous partnerships and those in the BDSM scene. I’m comfortable with all aspects of the shoot, including capturing fluids and orifices, so feel free to be yourself and don’t hold back!
DO I NEED TO HAVE IDEAS FOR MY SESSION?
No need to stress about preparing anything special for our shoot—I’m all about going with the flow and making magic happen in the moment. I’ve got the experience to guide you on what to bring and how to plan, but I really appreciate when clients let me have creative freedom to make something amazing.
You can book a session to celebrate a milestone, get a fresh perspective of yourself through my lens, gift it to yourself or someone else, or just because you want to capture some great images!
DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU SHOOT?
Nope, I don’t. I only keep the best shots, so I get rid of duplicates, test shots, out-of-focus images, bad expressions, and anything that doesn’t help showcase the final product at its best.
DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A MODEL TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED BY YOU?
Nope, you don’t have to worry about that! It’s my job to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. Trust me, even I feel a bit awkward in front of the camera sometimes! I’ll guide you into some natural poses that will look great in your photos.
If you’re doing a session with a partner or family member, I encourage you to just be yourselves—talk, interact, dance, hug, twirl. The goal is to have fun, be playful, and capture some awesome, genuine moments!
WHAT IF I LOSE MY IMAGES?
There’s a $500 fee for additional downloads once the shoot has been archived.
I recommend making at least one backup copy of your download when you first receive it, just to be safe.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SELECT IMAGES?
When I go through the photos, it takes time and a lot of experience to carefully select the best ones.
This is all part of the quality control process, making sure you get images that truly represent both my work and the special moments of your shoot. Think of the unchosen images like the leftover ingredients after making a wedding cake—they’re just part of the process, but not the final product.
These images aren’t included because they don’t meet the high standard we set for your session, or the level of quality I aim to deliver. Rest assured, I haven’t missed any hidden gems or great shots by accident!
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you need to reschedule, your reservation payment is good for 6 months, so we can find another date that works for you. Reservation payments are non-refundable, but I’ll gladly help you book a new session.
I totally get that life happens, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. Just know that out of respect for other clients, I can only allow one reschedule. If you need to reschedule a second time, a new reservation payment will be required, along with the full session balance due 2 weeks before your new session date.
If weather causes us to cancel, no worries—we’ll work together to find another time that fits.
Please Note: Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice without rescheduling for private or one-time event shoots will result in the full session fee being charged. I’d always prefer you reschedule, though, to avoid this.
Also, session fees, reservation payments, and any sale sessions are non-refundable.
WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO MY PHOTOS AND HOW CAN/WILL THEY BE USED?
I, Mariela F. Fdez of MFFPHOTOGRAPHY L.L.C, own the full copyright to all the photos I take. I may use these images to promote my work, etc—whether on my website, social media, print materials, or in shows/publications. You’re welcome to use the images however you like, and I hope you do! However, if any of the photos are published (whether in a magazine, online, or on social media like Instagram or Facebook), I ask that you credit MFFPHOTOGRAPHY. A link to my website or social media is always appreciated.
This policy is non-negotiable, and there will be a contract and model release to sign before your session. Your personal info is always kept private, and I will never use your images inappropriately.
