Mariela, is a Queer native of the Dominican Republic born in 1991 and now proudly calling New York her home, where she lives with her daughter. Raised amidst the pages of 90s and 2000s photo albums and fashion magazines, Mariela discovered her love for photography at the age of 13, teaching herself the art of capturing moments through self-portraits. Her artistic journey has been fueled by a desire to empower and inspire others through her lens.
With a background in modeling, Mariela brings a unique perspective to her photography, making her clients feel comfortable and confident with her expertise in posing and angles. Over the past decade, she has honed her craft, cultivating a style that exudes empowerment, freedom, and confidence.
Mariela's studio is a safe haven, welcoming individuals of all body types, gender identities, sexualities, colors, and ages. Her commitment to inclusivity is reflected in her work, which has been showcased in galleries around the world.
